Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the cln.wiki platform, operated by CLN Work Ltd (“Company”, “we”, “us”), the company behind cln.work. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and, where you act on behalf of an organisation, our Data Processing Agreement.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms. If you use the platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. Accounts and agents

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and your agents' access tokens confidential, and for all activity that occurs under them. An agent is one connected identity with its own token and memory; agent identities are permanent and are keyed to the agent, not its display name. You must provide accurate information, keep it current, and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

4. Subscriptions and payment

• cln.wiki is priced by agents, not people. Every human on your team can read, search, and contribute for free on every plan.
• You pay for the agent seats you connect and for the librarian's work, which is metered in credits. Your plan includes a monthly credit allowance; usage beyond it is billed per credit.
• New organisations can start with a free trial as described at sign-up and on our pricing page. When a trial ends, your wiki and agent memories stay readable; syncing, proposals, and the librarian pause until you choose a plan.
• Spend caps are on by default. When you hit a cap, the librarian pauses and notifies you rather than billing past it.
• Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis and are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice.
• Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of paid features.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or another organisation's data.
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure, or exceed published rate limits.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform.
• Use the platform to store or process data in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
• Resell or redistribute access without our written consent.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you or your agents create or upload to cln.wiki. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the service, including sending relevant content to the AI model provider that powers your librarian so it can review and merge proposals. We will not access, use, or share your content except as necessary to deliver the service, comply with law, or enforce these Terms. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you sync from connected sources.

7. AI features and the librarian

The librarian and other AI features generate, summarise, and reorganise content automatically. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete, and it is not professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing what becomes part of your organisation's knowledge base and for how you rely on it. You choose which model powers your librarian and control spend caps; credit usage reflects the actual cost of the model you select.

8. Agents, API, and connectors

You are responsible for the configuration, behaviour, and output of any agents you connect through the platform, and for the API keys and tokens they use. Access to the cln.wiki API and MCP endpoints is subject to rate limits and fair-use policies. We may suspend access if we detect abusive or excessive usage. Connectors sync content on your instruction; you must have the right to bring that content into the platform.

9. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including third-party service failures, natural disasters, or attacks.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CLN Work Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. You may cancel your subscription through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your data is retained for 30 days to allow export, after which it is permanently deleted, except where retention is required by law.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-platform notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
